ARISA concludes with lasting impact: Free AI Skills Academy and tools to continue empowering Europe’s workforce
After four years of collaboration across Europe, the Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance (ARISA) project is coming to a close – leaving behind an ecosystem of tools, training programmes, and strategic frameworks to strengthen AI skills across the continent.
Funded by the Erasmus+ programme, ARISA has, between 2022 and 2026, addressed Europe’s growing demand for AI competences by delivering practical, scalable, and future-oriented solutions for learners, educators, organisations, and policymakers.
The project’s key achievements include:
- – ARISA AI Skills Academy and AI fundamentals crash course – free online training supporting learners at different levels
- – AI Skills Strategy for Europe – providing recommendations to align education systems with labour market needs
- – Standardised AI role and educational profiles – developed in cooperation with CEN and CENELEC, contributing to a shared European framework for AI skills
- – Joint report with the EU AI Office – supporting companies in understanding and implementing the AI Act
- – Learning materials, Train-the-trainers programme and guidance on micro-credentials – enabling scalable and recognised AI education across Europe
- – Career guidance materials – supporting individuals in navigating AI career pathways.

A lasting platform for AI learning
At the core of ARISA’s legacy is the ARISA AI Skills Academy, which will remain available beyond the project’s lifetime.
