About us

Building digital skills for people, organisations and societies

BCS Digital Skills Academy is an Estonian training, project management and consulting organisation with more than three decades of experience in developing digital skills, ICT competence and organisational capability.

We began delivering IT training in 1993 and have since grown into one of Estonia’s leading digital skills development organisations. Today, we train nearly 5,000 people every year, deliver more than 20,000 training hours and support around 500 companies annually in helping people use technology more confidently and effectively.

Our vision is to be the best partner on the digital learning journey for societies, organisations and individuals — creating life-changing learning experiences that have real and lasting impact.

Our work is rooted in a simple belief: technology creates value only when people, organisations and societies have the skills and confidence to use it well.

What we do

BCS Digital Skills Academy designs and delivers learning solutions that help people, teams and organisations use technology with confidence and purpose.

Our work covers the full digital skills development journey — from basic digital competence and everyday workplace tools to ICT reskilling, data skills, cybersecurity awareness, AI-related learning, leadership development and organisational digital transformation.

We run large-scale reskilling and upskilling programmes, including Vali IT!, which has helped adults move into ICT careers, and IT Crafters, our AI-supported learning model for building job-ready skills in software development, data analytics and cybersecurity. We also develop digital learning products and tools, including Skillaby, to support more flexible and scalable learning.

Alongside these programmes, we deliver tailored training for companies, public sector organisations and professional learners. Our everyday work includes short courses, long development programmes, certification training, management and leadership training, cybersecurity awareness sessions, digital transformation workshops and custom-designed learning projects.

This combination of practical delivery, programme design and strategic understanding allows us to support clients at different levels — from individual learners and teams to organisations and wider skills development initiatives.

From Estonia’s digital experience to capability building

BCS Digital Skills Academy has been part of Estonia’s digital development for decades. We have contributed to major digital skills initiatives and have helped thousands of people and organisations adapt to the changing technological environment. Our reskilling programmes have supported more than 1,000 people in starting a career in the ICT sector.

Estonia’s experience as a digital society has shaped how we think about skills development. Digital transformation is not only about technology, platforms or systems. It also requires people who understand how to use digital tools, leaders who can guide change, and organisations that are able to develop new capabilities over time.

This is why our work often combines training, consulting and implementation. Depending on the client’s needs, we may support digital skills strategy, training programme design, learning roadmaps, digital maturity discussions, study visits, executive sessions, training-of-trainers formats or practical workshops.

We bring Estonia’s digital society experience into our work, but we do not treat it as a ready-made model to be copied. Every organisation and country has its own context, maturity level and goals. Our role is to help translate relevant experience into practical solutions that fit the real situation.

Quality, credibility and long-term commitment

BCS Digital Skills Academy operates according to the principles of adult education and quality learning design. We have been awarded the quality label of the Estonian Quality Agency for Education and the European Software Skills Alliance quality label. We are also a Microsoft certified training partner, a Pearson VUE and ICDL examination centre, and the official awarding body for ICT professional qualifications in Estonia since 2010.

These roles reflect our long-term commitment to quality, professional standards and skills development that has practical value.
