BCS Koolitus, together with its Kenyan partner Ariel Technology, is implementing the development cooperation project CYBERBRIDGE Kenya, aimed at increasing women’s participation in the cybersecurity sector and strengthening the cybersecurity capacity of local organisations. The project focuses on developing an employer-driven and practice-oriented training model that supports women in moving from training into internships and employment.
During the project, a Junior Cybersecurity role profile will be developed and validated with employers and an expert group, alongside a practical cybersecurity curriculum and a flexible blended learning model combining e-learning, workshops, mentoring, and hands-on exercises. A pilot group of 25 female learners will complete the programme, and a structured internship model will be created together with local employers to support participants’ transition into employment.
The initiative contributes to reducing the cybersecurity skills gap in Kenya, improving women’s access to technology careers, and strengthening organisational resilience against growing cyber threats. At the same time, the project supports the development of local training capacity and strengthens international cooperation between Estonia and Kenya in the fields of digital skills and cybersecurity.
