The project aims to enhance the digital skills, entrepreneurial competencies, and competitiveness of unemployed university-educated youth in Botswana while establishing a sustainable training model where the participants will become future mentors and trainers to SMEs. This approach supports young people in entering the job market or becoming entrepreneurs and ensures the long-term impact of the training programm, thus supporting SMEs in innovation and digitalization.
In collaboration with The University Innovation Pod Botswana, a target group and training needs analysis will be conducted to develop a practical training program. The program will focus on digital and entrepreneurial skills and include a train-the-trainer module to equip selected participants with the necessary competencies to become trainers. Additionally, a guide will be created to support new trainers in delivering the training effectively.
At the final stage of the project, the program will be piloted with a test group to assess its effectiveness and make necessary adjustments. Based on the feedback, an action plan will be developed to expand the training program and ensure its sustainability
