Get Employed as an IT Specialist

Project description: The main goal of the project "Get employed as an IT Specialist" (transl.) is to develop the IT skills of the unemployed youngsters in the age of 16-24 to be able to award them with the IT national occupational standard - the "IT Junior Specialist". The occupational standard helps the participants to enter the labour market. There are three different courses to choose from in this project: IT project management, Software development and IT operations. The courses consist of auditory and practical on-site learning. The on-site learning takes place before and after the auditory part at an active IT organisation. In the end of the course the skills are assessed with the national qualification exam

BCS Koolitus's role: Project management, developing learning materials, training, coordinating participants internship and other supportive actions, supporting the employment proccess.

Target Group: 16-24 year old unemployed youngsters who are interested in building their career in IT. All together 135 people will be taken on in the project. 

Length: 216 academic hours.

Investment: The project is free for the target group

Funding: Together with BCS Koolitus the project is co-funded from the European Social Funds and made happen in cooperation with Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications and Estonian Qualifications Authority.
